Alumni from our group now work enjoy fulfilling careers in engineering and management roles at multinational construction companies; or as research faculty in universities.

Qais Jahanger completed his PhD in Civil Engineering in 2020 and started work as a Lecturer at Al-Mustansiriya University in Iraq. His dissertation title is “Digitalization of Construction-Phase Information Management by Project Owners”.

Bahar Abiri completed her MS in Civil Engineering in 2020 and started work as a Project Manager for Western Wood Structures in Portland, OR. Her thesis title is “Decision-Making for Cross-Laminated Timber Modular Construction Using Discrete-Event Simulation”.

Akash Vijay completed his MS in Civil Engineering in 2020 and started work as a Field Engineer for Traylor Bros. His thesis title is “Framework for Analyzing Debris Removal Operations Using Discrete Event Simulation”.

Amit Bontadkar completed his MS in Civil Engineering in 2019 and started work as a Field Engineer for Turner Construction. His project title is “Schedule Visualization and Activity Collision Detection for Critical Space Analysis in Construction Sites”.

Gustavo Lotti completed his MS in Civil Engineering in 2019 and started work as a Project Engineer for Skanska. His thesis title is “Real-time Dynamic Schedule Updating Through Integrated Lean Construction Methods”.

Kenny Fiawoyife completed his MS in Civil Engineering in 2018 and started work as an Independent Consultant. His project title is “An Empirical Study of Work-zone Safety and Mobility Using Surveys and Anonymous User Generated Trip Information”.

Kelsey Chan completed her MS in Civil Engineering in 2018 and started work as a Project Engineer for JE Dunn. Her thesis title is “Improving Safety on Construction Sites by Using Real Time Sensor Data and Virtual Models to Reduce the Generation of False Positive Alarms”.

Sachin Gupta completed his MS in Civil Engineering in 2021 and started work as a Project Engineer for Pence Construction. His project report title is “Detection and Volume Estimation of Disaster Debris using Post-disaster LiDAR data”.
