Joseph Louis is an Assistant Professor in the School of Civil and Construction Engineering at Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon. Joseph conducts research and at the intersection of simulation, visualization, and automation within the context of construction and built environment operations.

Professional Experience and Education
Assistant Professor at Oregon State University
(2016 – Present)
I lead a research group focusing on improving safety, productivity, and sustainability of the construction industry by developing novel analytical and technological solutions. I teach undergraduate and graduate classes relating to heavy civil operations and equipment, analytical methods for construction, and risk management.
Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University
(2008 – 2016)
I earned my MS and PhD in Civil Engineering from Purdue University, where I worked as a graduate research assistant on various projects with Dr. Phillip Dunston, (Late) Dr. Julio Martinez, and Dr. Dulcy Abraham.

I received my Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy, in India.
